Gentlemen,

We beg to acknowledge the receipt of your

letter of 17th instant enclosing for our observations a copy

of a letter received by you from the Secretary of State for

the Colonies dated 16th idem or the subject of the Mongkokteul

Breakwater.

2. In reply to the question raised by the

second and third paragraphe of the letter from the Secretary

to the Admiralty dated 10th instant a copy of which was also

sent with your letter we may observe that it was not con-

templated under the project Plan which accompanied our

report of 3rd of October 1908 nor under the reduced project

which accompanied our letter of Ath Ontoher to carry out

any reclamation works in front of Plot 35.

3. The plan with which we were furnished does

not show No 36 but we take it this is immediately to the

north of No 35. Should we be right as to this there would

be no reclamation in front of 36 also.
